My generative question was: Why would Milton describe Satan to still have a heavenly light around him even though he has fallen from Heaven?
Some of my responses said that Milton describes Satan was described with a heavenly light because Satan is not actually pure evil. Satan still has some good qualitis and is not completely evil. This makes readers sympathize with Satan and relate to him as well. Others said that Satan is actually the "brightest" meaning that he is the smartest, yet he is still evil. However, another person responded that Satan is not completely evil since he is compared to the moon metaphor. In the metaphor, Satan is likened to the moon which is described as heavenly or ethereal. Another person strongly disagreed with the arguement that Satan was still a little good and wrote that Satan is actually prepared to go to war with God. The last person made used a different perspective saying that Satan's angel qualities are used to disguise his evil acts and to cover them up.
