Writing Discussion

My generative question was based on lines 622-662 in Paradise Lost. I asked, how does Satan's justify his loss to god? What does this say about Satan's view of god?

The responses I got basically mentioned some of the same points. Most people mentioned that Satan was tempted by God, as God did not reveal his true powers, thus making him seem weaker than he really is. This exemplifies the relationship that God has with his angels, as he refuses to tell them of his true power, which gives the angels an innocence. The innocence also tricks the angels into thinking god is weaker than he really is, and thus making them believe they could rebel. But even after the rebel, Satan still believes that the devils must not fall into submission after the banishment, but instead must continue to fight against god. At this point in time, the devils still believe that they are more powerful than god.
